2006 Trip: Northern Tanzania Safari
It is a journey to an old, ancient contient that one learns something new about themselves.
"It is not possible for the free man to catch a glimpse of the great elephant herds roaming the vast spaces of Africa wtihout taking an oath to do whatever is necessary to preserve forever this living splendor." --Romain Gary, Roots of Heaven, 1958
This was another tremendous ADK trip with Dorobo Safari across Northern Tanzania with time spent in Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengetti, Soit Orogoss and Mt. Meru.
Travel on ADK safaris provides a wonderful opportunity to see wildlife interactions. Here a vulutre cleans up a zebra kill.
The group was extremely fortunate in seeing cheetah and leapard, a rare treat. This cheetah was spotted in Ngorongoro Crater.
Our trips explore wildlife and natural communities. We also spend significant time exploring the protected areas and their inpact on the local tribes. A tremendous exploration of people and nature with lively disucsions of their compatability.
The Dorobo Crew. A tremendous group.
